Diary for the production of the preliminary task
For the preliminary task, I and Alex decided to film two sections each in different locations. One section was filmed in the woods and the other section is filmed in a bedroom. We filmed all the scenes on an iPhone and edited using only basic editing software.
As this is only the preliminary task There are many things that I would like to improve on for the main task. One of the main things I'd like to do is use an actual DSLR camera as there is only so much you can achieve with an iPhone. Another thing id like to do is do the final edits with premier pro as this is much more advanced than iMovie and will allow me to achieve and do more complex edits that look way more professional.
We actually messed up on the first shooing of the scene in the bedroom as we accidentally filmed in portrait so when we went to edit when the other scene was in landscape so we had to go reshoot the bedroom scene in landscape so that we could edit the two scenes together without the bedroom scene having massive black bars around the screen.
